Overall goal


Das EU-kofinanzierte Projekt greift Situationen europäischer ländlicher Gemeinden auf und stellt Zusammenhänge zu Herausforderungen ländlicher Gemeinden in Sub Sahara Afrika dar. An Beispielen von regionaler Entwicklung (lokaler Klimaschutz, erneuerbare Energien) und Ernährung (Bodenschutz, ökologische & soziale Dimension von Ernährung, Monokulturen, Landgrabbing) werden Verknüpfungen zwischen Gemeinden in Europa und in Entwicklungsländern aufgezeigt, für globale Zusammenhänge sensibilisiert. Insgesamt werden 8 Module für 20 Veranstaltungen in Österreich entwickelt. Die Gemeinden können dabei die Module frei wählen. Parallel und unterstützend wird es aufbereitete Hintergrundinformationen in Form von Fact Sheets geben. Die Inhalte der Fact Sheets sollen auch in gedruckter Form für die Weitergabe an die teilnehmende Bevölkerung aufbereitet werden. Auch Videos und Trailers können für eine Multiplikation der Inhalte heran gezogen werden. Um allen Klimabündnis Gemeinden und weiteren Mitgliedern wie Schulen und Betrieben die Inhalte vorzustellen, wird eine Klimabündnis Zeitschrift im Schwerpunkt der Projektinhalte herausgegeben. In einem Handbuch werden die Module und Handlungsvorschläge für Gemeinden aufzubereiten. Damit soll eine weitergehende Nutzung erleichtert werden. Zur inhaltlichen Abstimmung und Kommunikation ist eine Reise in den/vom Senegal vorgesehen. Eine Online Präsenz soll die Inhalte, Hintergründe und Module für Gemeinden und eine breitere interessierte Öffentlichkeit zugänglich machen. Pressearbeit wird die Aktivitäten des Vorhabens abrunden.

Das EU-Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 499.725 in der Höhe von Euro 34.300 (6,86%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries.
