Overall goal


Das Vorhaben umfasst die Weiterführung von FAIRTRADE-Marketingaktivitäten mit Fokus Öffentlichkeitsarbeit im Jahr 2012. Es wird das Ziel verfolgt, die Bedeutung des Fairen Handels am österreichischen Markt zu halten und auszuweiten. Die FAIRTRADE Marktstrategie strebt ein stabiles Wachstum im Handelsvolumen von mindestens +10% im Jahr 2012 an. Die Lizenzeinnahmen werden dadurch auf voraussichtlich 1,4 Mio. Euro gesteigert, die Einkommen für ProduzentInnen auf 16 Mio. Euro. Durch öffentlichkeitswirksame Maßnahmen will FAIRTRADE verstärkt auch die Probleme der bestehenden globalen Handelsstrukturen aufzeigen. Außerdem wird eine deutliche Positionierung von FAIRTRADE gegenüber unternehmenseigene CSR-Programme ohne nachvollziehbare Standards verfolgt. Die Maßnahmen umfassen: Presseschwerpunkte und -konferenzen, regelmäßige Aussendungen und Mailings, eine Journalistenreise/Jahr, Veranstaltungen und Lobbying, Ausbau der Website (FAIRTRADE-Themen) sowie des Internet-Produktcodes und Gastrofinders. Im Handelsmarketing werden im Frühjahr 2012 die FAIRTRADE-Wochen und über das Jahr hinweg mehrere Aktionen im Rahmen von BewußtkaufeninAktion, dem Nachhaltigkeitsschwerpunkt des Lebensministeriums, umgesetzt. Die primäre Zielgruppe sind KonsumentInnen, zu den weiteren Zielgruppen zählen MedienvertreterInnen, Unternehmen und öffentliche Institutionen.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 50.000,- (50 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
