Contract partner: GNHC / RGoB - Gross National Happiness Commission - Royal Government of Bhutan Country: Bhutan Funding amount: € 215.000,00 Project start: 01.12.2005 End: 31.12.2006

Short Description:

Overall goal

Under the project the ADA provides technical and financial assistance for the preparation of a Feasibility Study concerning the possible development of the 150 MW Dagachhu Hydropower Project, which will be submitted by the Royal Government of Bhutan for funding under the Clean Development Mechanism.

The additional financial contribution is necessary, as the original financial framework for 2296-00/2004 (original contract) relied on preliminary estimations. The actual financing needs became more obvious during the implementation period. Therefore the Austrian Development Cooperation and the Bhutanese partners agreed on the additional financial resources, which will cover the full project costs.
