Overall goal


Thema des Dokumentarfilms von Hannes Kreuzer (Produktionsleitung) und Stefan Bohun (Regie) ist ein Sozialprojekt der Organisation FESNOJIV in Venezuela, bei dem Kindern und Jugendlichen aus benachteiligten Verhältnissen die Möglichkeit geboten wird, ein klassisches Musikinstrument zu lernen. Die Idee hat sich im Laufe der Jahre zu einem sehr erfolgreichen Projekt entwickelt, aus dem viele begabte MusikerInnen hervorgegangen sind.


Anhand mehrerer, sehr unterschiedlicher Episoden werden MusikschülerInnen in ihrem Alltag begleitet. Es besteht eine Kooperation mit Peter Sellars und den Wiener Festwochen, wo das Simon Bolivar Orchester (das bekannteste aus dem Sozialprojekt entstandene Jugendorchester) im November 2006 im Rahmen des Mozartjahres in einer vom Komponisten John Adams komponierten Oper ,A flowering tree' in Wien aufgetreten ist.


Die OEZA fördert die Postproduktion des Films, die die Herstellung unterschiedlicher Fassungen des Films vorsieht. Die Episode ,Singende Hände' wird im Frühjahr 2007 als Beitrag für 'Am Schauplatz spezial' in ORF und 3sat ausgestrahlt: Im Mittelpunkt steht ein Gehörlosenchoor. In der venezolanischen Stadt Barquisimeto lernen gehörlose Kinder nicht nur Instrumente spielen, sondern auch in Gebärdensprache singen. Die Schüler kommen zum großen Teil aus armen Verhältnissen und werden im Rahmen eines Sozialprojekts zu Musikern ausgebildet.


Zusätzlich wird eine Kinoversion des Films produziert (,Amo Beethoven'), sowie eine längere Version mit dem Titel ,Mata Tigre', die alle Episoden umfasst, und u.a. auch über Baobab zum Verleih für die Bildungsarbeit in Schulen zur Verfügung stehen wird.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 53.023,00 in der Höhe von

EUR 10.000,00 (18,86%) gefördert.
