Ziel dieses Projektes ist es, die Entwicklung von MKMB in La Palma und San Ignacio fördern und neue Chancen identifizieren, die den UnternehmerInnen eine bessere Marktpositionierung ermöglichen. Dies ist insbesondere von Bedeutung im Zusammenhang mit dem Freihandelsabkommens zwischen Zentralamerika und den USA (CAFTA) und den Abkommen mit Mexiko, Chile und der Dominikanischen Republik.


Durch dieses Projektes soll in den erwähnten Gemeinden ein Prozess zur Förderung der lokalen Wirtschaftsentwicklung initiiert werden. Zentraler Punkt dabei ist die Bildung einer Vernetzungsinstanz durch die örtliche Regierung, die die Partizipation und eine koordinierte Vorgehensweise mit den UnternehmerInnen und anderen lokalen Akteuren ermöglicht. Die erwarteten Resultate dieses Projektes sind:

1. Die Gemeindeverwaltungen unterstützen die in ihrem Gebiet angesiedelten MKMB über die Einrichtung von Büros der technischen Unternehmensberatung.

2. Die KleinunternehmerInnen haben an einer Strategie zur lokalen wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung unter Priorisierung des MKMB-Sektors teilgenommen und mitgearbeitet.

3. Der Zusammenschluss bzw. die Kooperation unter Kleinbetrieben ermöglicht den Zugang zu größeren Aufträgen und Marktanteilen, in den Netzwerken ist ein gesteigerter Anteil von Frauen aktiv.

4. Ein Zentrum für technische Entwicklung und Innovation ist eingerichtet und fördert die Produktinnovation entsprechend den Anforderung des Marktes.

5. Ein Fonds bietet Unterstützung für innovative Mikroprojekte im landwirtschaftlichen und ökotouristischen Bereich in beiden Gemeinden.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
