Overall goal


Das Projekt leistet einen Beitrag zur Verminderung der ethnischen und sozialen Diskriminierung der indigenen Völker der Karibikküste Nicaraguas. Ziel des Projekts ist die Entwicklung von Kapazitäten der indigenen Bevölkerung und seiner territorialen Verwaltungen im Streben gegen ethnische und soziale Diskriminierung, durch die Verteidigung ihrer Rechte in Hinblick auf Lebensgrundlagen sowie der ethnischen und kulturellen Identität in der nördlichen Karibikküste Nicaraguas.

Das Projekt ist Ergebnis mehrerer Zusammentreffen zwischen der lokalen NRO 'Acción Medica Cristiana' (AMC), der 'Bluefields Indian & Caribbean University' (BICU) und HORIZONT3000 und der daraus entstandenen Identifikation der in den Versammlungen der Territorialverwaltungen artikulierten Bedürfnisse. Diese umfassen die Einzugsgebiete, in denen AMC und BICU Entwicklungsinitiativen implementieren (Munizip Río Coco, Río Prinzapolka und Puerto Cabezas).

Erwartete Ergebnisse:

Resultat 1: Die indigenen Völker der Karibikküste Nicaraguas und ihre Territorialverwaltungen konnten Kapazitäten zur Verteidigung ihrer Lebensgrundlagen sowie ihrer ethnischen und sozialen Identität entwickeln.

Resultat 2: Die indigene Bevölkerung und ihre Territorialverwaltungen partizipieren rechtlich anerkannt an den Entscheidungen in Bezug auf Lebensgrundlagen und die natürlichen Ressourcen ihrer Territorien.

Begünstigte:

Direkte: 692 Autoritäten von 12 Territorialverwaltungen und 218 Gemeinden, 230 Führungspersonen der Frauengruppen, 270 Jugendliche, 430 DozentInnen, 430 kirchliche Führungspersonen; insgesamt 2.052 direkte Begünstigte.

Indirekte: Ca. 110.000 Personen von 218 indigenen Gemeinden der Ethnien Miskitu und Mayagna.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
