Overall goal


Die Situation des Agrarsektors in El Salvador, in dem ca. 40 % der arbeitsfähigen Bevölkerung tätig ist, ist ausgesprochen prekär unter wirtschaftlichen, sozialen, kulturellen und politischen Gesichtspunkten.

Die Gründe hierfür sind historisch-strukturell wie auch konjunkturell. Die ggw. Regierung baut ihre politische Macht auf dem Finanzsektor auf und hat für die Dynamisierung des Agrarsektors wenig übrig. Der Kleinbauernsektor ist davon besonders betroffen. Die periphäre Lage des Agrarsektors (insbesondere der Kleinbauern) im Kontext der Entwicklungen des NAFTA Regimes erlaubt wenige Zukunftsperspektiven außerhalb einer Reproduktionswirtschaft und der Integration in die agroindustriellen Komplexe.


Ziele des Projekts:

# Verbesserung des Familieneinkommens insbesondere von Klein- und Mittelbetrieben

# Erschließung neuer Märkte für Qualitätsprodukte aus dem BioLandbau: national und international

# Schutz des Wasserhaushalts, Reduzierung der Umweltbelastung

# Gründung einer nationalen Zertifizierungsorganisation (mit einer zentralamerikanischen Perspektive) in Zusammenarbeit mit der ABG (und ev. BCS) Sozialisierung der Erfahrungen der Zertifizierung für die Produzenten (findet derzeit nicht statt)

# Nutzung nationaler Personalressourcen für Ausbildung, Zertifizierung, Konsumenteninfo, Markterschließung

# Entwicklung und Umsetzung konkreter Formen der Bauernsolidarität, Förderung des Austausches zwischen Konsumenteninformationsstellen

# Innovative Kombination des "Lokalen Wissens" mit den neuen Erkenntnissen des BioLandbaus

# Förderung des (populärwissenschaftlichen Diskurses) über den BioLandbau

# Positive Effekte gegen die Landflucht

# Beitrag zur Stabilisierung der Demokratie und der fragilen politischen Verhältnisse durch stabile, nachhaltige und erfolgreiche Wirtschaftssektoren.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
