Overall goal


Mit dem Projekt werden ökologisch und sozial nachhaltige Produktionsweisen in der Landwirtschaft durch Beratung und Schulung von kleinbäuerlichen Produzenten gefördert, wobei organisatorische und unternehmerische Aspekte einen hohen Stellenwert einnehmen. Ziel dieses Prozesses ist, die Produzenten dabei unterstützen, Qualität und Quantität ihrer Produkte zu steigern und Zugang zu Absatzmärkten zu erhalten. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf der Produktion von biologischem Kakao.


Dieses Projekt wird durch den Nationalen Verband der Agrar- und Agrarindustriellen Kooperativen (FENACOOP, R.L) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Entwicklung und Demokratie (IPADE) durchgeführt und leistet einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen von 300 kleinbäuerlichen Familien, die in 10 Kooperativen organisiert sind. Das Projektgebiet liegt in der Autonomen Südlichen Atlantikregion (RAAS) und ist durch ein feuchttropisches Klima geprägt.


Das Projekt umfasst folgende Arbeitsbereiche:

1. Schulung und Beratung der kleinbäuerlichen Zielgruppe zur Etablierung von nachhaltige Wald- und Weidewirtschaftssystemen mit dem Fokus auf Kakaoanbau. Neben der Verbesserung der Bewirtschaftungsmethoden (Ernte, Trocknung, Lagerung) der Produzenten sollen die Produktionsvolumen und die Produktqualitäten verbessert werden.

2. Organisationsentwicklung und Beratung der Bauernorganisationen zur Stärkung des Genossenschaftswesens, zur Verbreitung von betriebswirtschaftlichen Wissens und um Zugang zum Absatzmärkten zu bekommen. Durch die Integration in ein regionales Cluster sollen Vermarktungswege bis hin zum Export erschlossen werden.
