Overall goal


Die dritte und abschließende Phase des Conifer Research and Training Partnership zwischen den Partnern BOKU und RNR-RC Jakar, Bhutan, zielt auf eine Reduzierung der Armut in ländlichen Gebieten und eine Konsolidierung der Ausbildung und weiterer Implementierung von Forschungsergebnissen aus FORED Phase II. Die Ausbildung von Forschern auf diesem Gebiet soll vervollständigt und weiter gestärkt werden, damit sie neuen Herausforderungen auf dem Gebiet der Waldbewirtschaftung und der gemeinschaftlichen Nutzung von natürlichen Ressourcen besser gewachsen sind und diese mit wissenschaftli-chen Ansätzen eigenständig beantworten können. Die starke Ausrichtung auf die Bekämpfung von Armut im ländlichen Raum und die Stärkung der lokalen Land-nutzerInnen wird durch den Fokus auf Nicht-Holzprodukte und deren nachhalti-ger Nutzung gewährleistet. Durch diese Arbeiten soll politischen Entscheidungs-trägern und Managern natürlicher Ressourcen eine solide Grundlage für Ent-scheidungen geliefert werden, um der Degradierung von Waldflächen in Bhutan ein Ende zu setzen. Weiters sollen Förstern wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und deren Anwendung näher gebracht werden, um die direkte Umsetzung von Er-gebnissen zu fördern.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries.
