Das Projekt ermöglicht 100 internen und 200 externen Lernteilnehmerinnen einen verbesserten Zugang zu Bildung durch Wohnmöglichkeiten sowie die Nutzung eines Life Skills Programms.

Die Women Empowerment Centres (WEC) - zwei davon bestehen schon in Rawalpindi und Gilgit - sehen nicht nur Wohnmöglichkeiten zu niedrigen Preisen sowie Stipendien für besonders bedürftige junge Frauen vor, sondern zielen vor allem auf die persönliche und professionelle Entwicklung der Nutznießerinnen durch die Life Skills Komponente ab. Die Programme werden kostenlos für interne Studentinnen angebotenen, externe bezahlen einen nominalen Beitrag. Im Rahmen dieses Projektes wird ein neues Women Empowerment Center in Chitral mit Wohnmöglichkeit und Trainingszentrum errichtet. Ein Life Skills Programm wird mplementiert, an dem insgesamt 300 junge Frauen (100 im Zentrum wohnende und 200, die an Colleges und Universitäten studieren) in 30 Monaten teilnehmen werden. Die Qualität und soziale Nachhaltigkeit wird durch umfassendes Capacity Building des lokalen Partners und des eingesetzten pädagogischen Personals gesichert.


Erwartete Ergebnisse:


1. Ein Women Empowerment Centre in Chitral, mit Wohnmöglichkeiten für 50 Frauen pro Jahr, ist errichtet und ausgestattet.

2. Das Life Skills Training Programme wird erfolgreich durchgeführt

3. 300 Frauen nehmen an dem Life Skills Programme teil (95% schließen den Kurs ab)

4. Personal und lokale Partner sind geschult und gestärkt worden, um die Nachhaltigkeit zu gewährleisten.
