Overall goal


Das Vorhaben findet in Diyarbakir im Südosten der Türkei statt. Hauptziel dieses Projektes ist es, Frauen durch psychologische, medizinische, juridische Hilfe, sowie durch das Angebot eines Alphabetisierungs- und Türkischsprachkurses bei den Problemen, die durch Migration und Urbanisierung für sie entstehen, zu unterstützen. Frauen sollen lernen, über ihren Körper selbst zu bestimmen und mit einfachen Methoden Empfängnisverhütung zu betreiben. Die hohe Rate an Selbstmordversuchen unter Frauen soll gesenkt werden. Das Projekt sieht Alphabetisierungs- und Türkischkurse für Kurdischsprachige Frauen in Diyarbaki, einer Stadt im Südosten der Türkei, vor. Weiters werden in medizinischen und juridischen Seminaren Themen wie Familienplanung, Frauengesundheit, Verhütung, Menschenrechte, und insbesondere Frauenrechte, besprochen. Da Frauen durch die Migration entwurzelt und ihr soziales Netzwerk verloren haben, steht während der gesamten Projektzeit den Frauen eine Psychologin zur Verfügung. Diese wird auch eigene Workshops zu den Traumata der Migration halten. Weiters bietet das Projekt Kinderbetreuung an.


Es handelt sich um ein Addendum zu Vertrag 2319-04/2006 mit WADI, weil sich der Start des urspr. Vorhaben verzögert hat und die Aktivitäten in eine andere Projektregion verlagert werden mussten.
