Overall goal


Das EU-kofinanzierte Projekt will das Bewusstsein für globale Frauenrechte stärken, ihre Sichtbarkeit in den Medien erhöhen sowie zu mehr Medienkompetenz von Frauen bzw. Frauenorganisationen beitragen. Mit vielfältigen Aktivitäten der Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit wie internationale Trainingsworkshops, Konferenzen, Medieninterventionen (Print, Funk und Web) sowie Einbezug von Süd-PartnerInnen (ExpertInnen-Tour mit Menschenrechts- bzw. Medienexpertinnen aus Zentralamerika und dem südlichen Afrika) und der Durchführung einer Studie Medien als Instrument von Entwicklung werden politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen, NGOs, JournalistInnen, AktivistInnen, junge Frauen sowie via Medien auch eine breitere Öffentlichkeit angesprochen. Im Fokus der Auseinadersetzung stehen dabei die Themen internationaler Frauenhandel, Gewalt gegen Frauen am Arbeitsmarkt (am Bsp. der Tourismus- und Textilindustrie) und Mediennutzung als Instrument für Gendergerechtigkeit und Entwicklung.

Es wird um eine Förderung aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von EUR 46.000,- (7,21 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) angesucht.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
