Short Description:

Overall goal


Die von Voluntaris organisierten Freiwilligendienste bieten Menschen mit Berufserfahrung die Möglichkeit, sich im Rahmen einer freiwilligen Tätigkeit im Bereich der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit zu engagieren. Mittels mindestens 6-monatigem Freiwilligendienst finden persönliche Begegnungen sowie der interkulturelle Austausch von Wissen und Erfahrungen zwischen entsprechend vorbereiteten Personen mit Lebens- und Berufserfahrung aus Österreich und MitarbeiterInnen in 17 Projekten der EZA weltweit statt.


Expected results


25 Freiwillige unterstützen nach Vorbereitung in Österreich mind. 6 Monate lang lokale MitarbeiterInnen in 17 EZA-Projekten weltweit. Die Erfahrungen aus der konkreten Projektmitarbeit vor Ort sowie gezieltes De-briefing nach der Rückkehr führen zu entwicklungspolitischem und vernetzendem Engagement von 20 RückkehrerInnen in Österreich.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Kernzielgruppe sind berufs- und lebenserfahrene Menschen aus Österreich mit dem Bedürfnis, ihre zweite Lebenshälfte aktiv und engagiert in EZA-Themen zu verbringen und sich entwicklungspolitisch zu engagieren.

ProjektpartnerInnen vor Ort sind anerkannte lokale NGOs oder kirchliche ProjektträgerInnen in Afrika, Asien, Lateinamerika und Osteuropa. In Österreich kooperiert voluntaris mit zahlreichen Organisationen der entwicklungspolitischen Inlandsarbeit bzw. der EZA. Durch spezielle Angebote (z.B. Exkursionen) werden die Freiwilligen bereits bei den Vorbereitungskursen mit diesen bekannt gemacht.


Activities


Die Aktivitäten umfassen die Hauptbereiche Werbung und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Auswahl und Vorbereitung, Einsatz vor Ort, RückkehrerInnen-Arbeit. Betreuung und Begleitung der TeilnehmerInnen sowie Motivation zu längerfristigem entwicklungspolitischem Engagement stehen im Zentrum.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 233.333 mit Euro 134.000 (60,00%) für 2 Jahre gefördert.
