Overall goal


Das EU-kofinanzierte Projekt baut auf bereits erfolgreichen Vorprojekten bzw. Initiativen auf, bündelt diese bzw. baut sie aus. So wird die, im Rahmen des Runden Tisches Ethik im Tourismus (BMWFJ) 2009 entstandene und seit Herbst 2010 umgesetzte Idee einer Trilateralen Kampagne der drei Länder Österreich, Deutschland und Schweiz auf 16 EU-Länder ausgeweitet. Das Kernstück der Kampagne ist der Videospot Witness – Gegen das Wegsehen, der inzwischen in mehreren Ländern gezeigt wird. Dazu gibt es begleitende Informationsmaterialien. Die Kampagne hat eine klare Zielrichtung, nämlich Reisende dazu zu motivieren, ihre Beobachtung zu melden. Nach dem Vorbild der Meldestellen in Ö, D, CH und NL sollen solche Stellen auch in anderen Ländern eingerichtet werden. ECPAT Frankreich, Gesamtkoordinator des Projektes, hat in einem EU-Projekt ein Handbuch für Meldeprozedere für die Tourismuswirtschaft erstellt. Dieses wird ebenfalls für alle 16 beteiligten EU-Ländern adaptiert und übersetzt werden. ECPAT D, NL und Österreich haben erfolgreiche Kooperationen mit der Tourismuswirtschaft aufgebaut und in den vergangenen Jahren die Schulungs- und Trainingskapazitäten ausgebaut und setzen einen Schwerpunkt auf Schulung insbesondere von angehenden bzw. in Ausbildung befindlichen TouristikerInnen.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 42.200,- (1,85% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 3 Jahre (23.10.2012 – 22.10.2015)

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
