Overall goal


Das vorliegende Pilotprojekt hat die Ausarbeitung eines ländlichen Entwicklungsplans zum Ziel, im Rahmen dessen eine gemeinsame Managementstrategie der natürlichen Ressourcen der Flussbecken von "Rio Grande de Carazo" in Nicaragua und "Rio Arcagual de Mejocote" in Honduras ausgearbeitet wird. Im Mittelpunkt steht das Interesse der lokalen Bevölkerung, die aktiv in die Ausarbeitung des Plans miteinbezogen wird. Ziel dieses Plans ist es, einen Beitrag zur effizienten Nutzung der natürlichen Ressourcen in diesen Flussbecken zu leisten, um dadurch der Bewohnern dieser Gebiete auch langfristig zu einer besseren Lebensqualität zu verhelfen.


Dieser Entwicklungsplan soll für zukünftige Vorhaben als Orientierungsinstrument im Bereich lokale Miteinbeziehung im natürlichen Resourcenmanagement gehandhabt werden. In diesem Sinne gilt es, diesen Plan nach Projektabschluss in lokale, regionale und nationale Entwicklungsstrategien einzubetten.


Im Rahmen des vorliegenden Projektes werden die technischen, sozialen und organisatorischen Kapazitäten der lokalen Bevölkerung gestärkt, vor allem die der Frauen. In allen Projektbelangen wird versucht, bestehendes Wissen und Kapazitäten zu nutzen und einen regelmäßigen, auch länderübergreifenden Erfahrungsaustausch zu fördern.

Dieses vorliegende Projekt steht sowohl mit den regionalen Strategien zur Armutsbekämpfung, als auch den nationalen Umweltstrategien Nikaraguas und Honduras im Einklang.
