Specific Objective

Implementation of a gender study in Adjara, Qvemo Qartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti, Shida Qartli & Samegrelo region to inform national governance structures and donor partners on gender gaps in the agricultural sector and how to address them


The Austrian Development Agency in cooperation with the Swiss Development Cooperation and UNWOMEN is commissioning an assessment study on regional /local development systems and processes in agriculture from a gender perspective. The study should provide an up to date analysis and provide recommendations for policy making/institutional/operational improvements to relevant ministries and local goverments, as well as recommendations for development partners to improve policies and service provisions, so that they more equally adress the diverse needs 1, 8 Mio women and men through effective contribution to rural socio - economic development.
