Overall goal


Mit dem Programm informiert WIDE über die Notwendigkeit der Stärkung der gesellschaftlichen Position von Frauen in Ländern des globalen Südens und macht konkrete Handlungsansätze bekannt. WIDE bezieht sich insbesondere auf das Europäische Jahr für Entwicklung und die neuen internationalen Entwicklungsziele, die im Herbst 2015 als ‚Sustainable Development Goals‘ von der UNO verabschiedet werden, sowie auf aktuelle Entwicklungen im Bereich der Frauenrechte 20 Jahre nach der letzten Weltfrauenkonferenz in Peking (1995).

WIDE arbeitet mit folgenden Strategien, um das Empowerment von Frauen in der Entwicklungspolitik zu stärken und nachhaltige Entwicklung gendergerecht zu gestalten:

• Voneinander-Lernen und Allianzenbildung durch Vernetzung (national, europaweit, international), Einbindung ‚junger‘ Frauen

• Durchführung von Fortbildungen und Trainings

• Organisation von (Kooperations-)Veranstaltungen und Diskussionen

• Politikdialog zu Frauenrechten, Gender & nachhaltige Landnutzung und Politikkohärenz

• Vermittlung von feministischem ökonomischen Wissen auf Basis des Economic Literacy-Ansatzes

• Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (unterstützt durch Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum)


WIDE arbeitet in einer Netzwerkstruktur, die Mitglieder bringen sich aktiv ein und tragen durch die Mitarbeit in Arbeitsgruppen wesentlich zur Umsetzung der Aktivitäten bei. Neben den Mitgliedsorganisationen kooperiert WIDE aktiv mit einer Vielzahl nationaler und internationaler AkteurInnen.

Resultate:

Die Aktivitäten zur Erweiterung von Kompetenzen innerhalb des Netzwerkes wie Trainings, Grundkurse und Veranstaltungen involvieren ca. 400 MultiplikatorInnen, darüber hinaus erfolgt die Vernetzung über regelmäßige Treffen (5 pro Jahr) und 6 themenspezifische Arbeitsgruppen (je 5 Treffen pro Jahr), diese Maßnahmen werden durch Öffentlichkeitsarbeit ergänzt.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 194.700.- in der Höhe von Euro 162.000.- (83,20 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
