Overall goal


Das vorliegende Projekt ist ein Teilprojekt im Rahmen eines Programms des Lutherischen Weltbunds (LWF) zum Aufbau der Infrastruktur in Mosambik, in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den betroffenen Gemeinden.

Zielsetzung ist es, nachhaltige Zugangsmöglichkeiten zu verschiedenen Ebenen sozialer Dienste sicherzustellen. Im Projektgebiet gibt es wenige Soziale Dienste und Einrichtungen, es mangelt an medizinischer Erstversorgung, an ausreichenden hygienischen Wasserversorgungsmöglichkeiten und an Latrinen. Die Krankheits- (HIV/AIDS) und Todesraten sind hoch. Dies liegt vor allem an schlechten oder fehlenden medizinischen Einrichtungen, an mangelnden Zugangsmöglichkeiten dazu und an entsprechendem Personal. Das Problem ist aber auch durch mangelnden Informationszugang der Zielgruppen über medizinische Versorgung und über Grundkenntnisse in Hygiene gekennzeichnet. In den vergangenen Jahren hat das Projekt diesen Zustand durch den Bau von Brunnen und Latrinen zu verbessern versucht. Darauf aufbauend soll in der jetzigen Projektphase der Bereich der Schulungen zur Benutzung, zum weiteren Bau, Erhalt und Reparatur dieser Einrichtungen, sowie eine verbesserte Bewußtseinsbildung im Bereich medizinischer Versorgung und Hygiene durchgeführt werden.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
