Mosambik ist eines der ärmsten Länder der Welt. Neben anderen Problemen hebt sich vor allem die hohe Rate an armutsbezogenen Krankheiten vor. Die Regierung möchte deshalb vor allem die Basisgesundheitsversorgung auf Gemeindeebene, sowie die Überweisung an Gesundheitszentren verbessern und ausweiten. Mit seinem einzigartigen Netzwerk ist das mosambikanische Rote Kreuz (CVM) ein kompetenter Partner, der diese Leistungen anbietet.


Das Projektziel lautet: "Der Gesundheitsstatus von 9.500 Menschen im Bezirk Chemba, mit besonderem Fokus auf Frauen und Kindern, hat sich verbessert". Das Projekt soll die Gesundheitssituation von 9.500 Menschen in Chemba, einem entlegenen und benachteiligten Bezirk im Norden der Provinz Sofala, verbessern. Die Menschen leben weit entfernt von Gesundheitseinrichtungen, die Analphabetenrate ist hoch und Frauen sind unterprivilegiert. Deshalb ist das Wissen und das Bewusstsein zum Thema Gesundheit gering und führt zu schlechtem Hygieneverhalten, einer schlechten Ernährungssituation und zu einer Bevorzugung von traditionellen Heilern.

Die wichtigsten Herausforderungen im Bereich Gesundheit sind Malaria, Mutter- und Kind-Gesundheitsvorsorge/-versorgung, Durchfallerkrankungen, HIV, Tuberkulose und Atemwegserkrankungen.


Die Erreichung des Projektzieles wird durch gestärkte Gemeindestrukturen im Bereich Basisgesundheitsversorgung und durch notwendige Überweisungen in Gesundheitszentren sichergestellt. Schwerpunkte bilden dabei die Stärkung von Kapazitäten auf Gemeindeebene und CVM, Gesundheitsfördermaßnahmen betreffend die alltäglichsten Erkrankungen, HIV/AIDS Vorbeugung und eine ausgeglichene Ernährung.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries.
