Overall goal


Das Projekt wird auf einem riesigen Areal von rund 15.000 km2 in der Region Wollega nördlich der Stadt Nekemte und 400 km von der Hauptstadt Addis Abeba entfernt beginnen.

Der zweite Projektstandort liegt in Bench District (Wereda) auf einer Fläche von 1.807 km² mit einer Einwohnerzahl von 188.590. Im Distrikt gibt es 61 Dörfer mit Mizan Teferi als Hauptstadt, 561 km südwestlich von Addis Abeba.


Das Projekt besteht aus Maßnahmen zur Vorsorgemedizin in diesen Gebieten.

Zu den Präventivmaßnahmen zählen Gesundheitserziehung, Familienplanung, Aidsprävention, Schwangerenberatung, Impfprogramme, Kontrolle der Ernährung von Kindern bis fünf Jahre und Behandlung von Fällen von Unterernährung.
