Südwind Entwicklungspolitik NÖ Süd hat in enger Kooperation mit dem Welthaus der Diözese Graz-Seckau in den letzten drei Jahren - innerhalb eines von der EK geförderten Projektes (Global Action Schools) - ein aktives Netzwerk an Schulen in Niederösterreich und der Steiermark aufgebaut. Seit 2006 beteiligen sich LehrerInnen und SchülerInnen aller Schultypen aus Österreich, England, Malta, Polen, Slowakei, Thailand und Tschechien an dem EU-Projekt Global Action Schools.

Das Projekt widmet sich Themen von globaler Bedeutung wie Menschenrechte, Klimawandel, Fairer Handel und nachhaltige Landwirtschaft. Südwind NÖ Süd verfügt über langjährige Erfahrungen zu den genannten Themen.

In den nächsten drei Projektjahren soll das Global Action Schools Netzwerk in Österreich weiter ausgebaut werden. Das vorliegende Projekt "Globales Lernen - Internationales Schulnetzwerk" führt nicht nur bewährte Maßnahmen fort, sondern erweitert diese auf Gemeindeebene. Steirische und niederösterreichische Gemeinden sind bereits durch die Projektstruktur in das Projekt eingebunden. Zwischen Schulen und ihren Gemeinden soll eine Partnerschaft entstehen, die einen Nachdenkprozess und ein daraus folgendes Handeln auch in der lokalen Behörde anregen soll.


Die SchülerInnen arbeiten gemeinsam mit ihren LehrerInnen zu einem globalen Thema. Es gibt diverse SchülerInnenaktivitäten, LehrerInnenseminare, Workshops an Schulen sowie regelmäßige Treffen zum Austausch über Methoden und Inhalte des Globalen Lernens, Rundschreiben und Beratungs- und Koordinationsarbeit.

Ziel ist, dass Kinder und Jugendliche ein globales Verständnis entwickeln und ermutigt werden, sich aktiv an der Gestaltung einer zukunftsfähigen Welt zu beteiligen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 1.110.088,- in der Höhe von EUR 25.000,- (2,25%) gefördert.
