Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist die verbesserte Nutzung von Feuerholz durch effizientere Öfen. Eine Effizienzsteigerung führt zu einer geringeren Belastung der natürlichen Umwelt durch Feuerholzentnahme, einer Entlastung der Menschen bei der Sammlung von Feuerholz und gesünderen Lebensbedingungen durch weniger Rauchentwicklung in den Innenräumen.


2 Typen von effizienteren Öfen sollen im Rahmen des Projekts gebaut und getestet werden:

- Effizientere Metallöfen für den Verkauf am freien Markt;

- Effizientere Lehmöfen für die ländlichen Gebiete, wo Öfen traditionell im Selbstbau hergestellt werden;


Im Zuge des Projekts sollen Prototypen für beide Modelle gebaut werden und die Selbstbauöfen in Rahmen von Praxistests in der Anwendung getestet werden. Im weiteren Projektverlauf geht es vor allem um die Verbreitung des Konzepts und der Bauweise der effizienteren Lehmöfen für die ländlichen Gebiete - sofern diese in den Praxistests überzeugen und akzeptiert werden.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
