Overall goal


Das Ökosoziale Forum Europa plant für 2016 drei Diskussionsveranstaltungen im Radiokulturhaus Wien zu den Themen „Umwelt und Klimaflüchtlinge“ (Mai), „Soja und Ernährungssicherheit/Machtstrukturen“ (Oktober) und „Ressourcen, Sicherheit und Entwicklung“ (November). Themenspezifisch werden jeweils ausgewiesene Fachexpert_innen bzw. hochrangige Vertreter_innen von internationalen Organisationen, Zivilgesellschaft, Wissenschaft und staatlichen Institutionen eingeladen. Mit den Veranstaltungen soll einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit und zukünftigen Entscheidungsträger_innen eine differenzierte Sicht auf globale Zusammenhänge und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit vermittelt werden.


Expected results


Es werden pro Veranstaltung jeweils rund 100 Besucher_innen erwartet. Insgesamt werden bei drei Veranstaltungen ca. 300 TeilnehmerInnen direkt erreicht. Durch begleitende Medienarbeit (Print, Radio, Web) und die Erstellung von 3 thematischen Factsheets werden darüber hinaus Ö1-Hörer_innen, sowie ca. 8 (über)regionale Printmedien (Tages-/ Wochenzeitungen; Boulevard) erreicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Mit den Veranstaltungen im Radiokulturhaus Wien und der geplanten Medienkooperation (Printmedien; Ö1-Radiobeitrag zu Soja) wird österreichweit eine interessierte Öffentlichkeit erreicht. Akteure aus dem globalen Süden sind als Speaker eingebunden, u.a. die prominente Menschenrechtsaktivistin/Nobelpreisträgerin Rigoberta Menchú. Es gibt ein bewährtes Netzwerk, das sich aus dem Lobbying heraus in Österreich und international entwickelt hat. Die Umsetzung erfolgt in Kooperation mit dem Ökosozialen Studierendenforum, IUFE, Landesverteidigungsakademie (LVAk) und UNHCR.


Activities


Die Maßnahmen umfassen die inhaltliche und organisatorische Vorbereitung und Durchführung der 3 Veranstaltungen mit begleitender Medienarbeit.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 44.000 mit Euro 35.000 (79,55%) für 1 Jahr gefördert.
