Short Description:

Overall goal


Ziel des Projektvorhabens ist es, dass österreichische Unternehmen und Organisationen die Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in ihre Strategien integrieren und damit bis 2022 aktiv einen Beitrag zur Erreichung der Agenda 2030 leisten.


Expected results


1. Aus den SDG Teams gehen bis 2021 zumindest zwei konkrete Next Practice Beispiele hervor, die zu den SDGs beitragen.

2. Veröffentlichung von zwei SDG-Sector-Roadmaps, die business-relevante Themenfelder und Chancen durch die SDGs aufzeigen.

3. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Organisationen, die für die Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 auf Kommunalebene relevant sind, wurden mehr als 100 Städte und Gemeinden mit bewusstseinsbildenden Maßnahmen für die Agenda 2030 erreicht; mindestens zwei konkrete SDG-Kollaborationsprojekte wurden identifiziert und die Maßnahmen ihrer Erfolgsgeschichte öffentlich zugänglich gemacht.

4. Das Global Compact Netzwerk Österreich nimmt bis spätestens 2022 erstmals eine Stadt oder Gemeinde als Teilnehmerorganisation in das Netzwerk auf.

5. Zumindest zehn Teilnehmer des Global Compact Netzwerk Österreich erhalten durch Peers Feedback zu ihrer Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung mit Schwerpunkt SDGs.

Mit den unterschiedlichen Maßnahmen werden insgesamt mehr als 5000 Personen erreicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Die Zielgruppe des gegenständlichen Projektes ist aufgrund des Multistakeholder-Charakters des Global Compact Netzwerk Österreich vielfältig und reicht von Unternehmen unterschiedlicher Größe und Branche bis hin zu Organisationen wie NGOs, Bildungseinrichtungen und öffentlichen Institutionen. Insgesamt werden mehr als 5000 Personen erreicht.


Activities


Als eines von rund 70 nationalen Netzwerken des UN Global Compact (UNGC) in New York stellt das Global Compact Netzwerk Österreich eine zentrale Anlaufstelle sowie Dialog- und Lernplattform für die SDGs dar. Zur Erreichung des Projektziels tragen sowohl der Transfer der internationalen SDG-bezogenen Leistungen des UNGC als auch die Initiierung nationaler Aktivitäten bei.


Context


Das Global Compact Netzwerk Österreich wurde im Jahr 2006 gegründet und seither stetig weiterentwickelt. Zurzeit zählt es mehr als 100 Teilnehmer, wovon zwei Drittel Unternehmen und ein Drittel nicht-privatwirtschaftlichen Organisationen sind. Koordinierungsstelle des Global Compact Netzwerkes Österreich und somit Vertragspartner des UNGC ist der Verein respACT – austrian business council for sustainable development.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
