Overall goal


Gambela gehört zu den ärmsten Regionen Äthiopiens und bietet den Jugendlichen kaum Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten. In der gesamten Region gibt es zwei Lehrerseminare und eine Schwesternschule mit insgesamt 316 Ausbildungsplätzen. Die Berichte des Erziehungsministeriums zeigen eine hohe Rate von Schulabgängern in allen Stufen der Schulbildung. Dies liegt an den ökonomischen und sozialen Schwierigkeiten in vielen Familien als auch an mangelnden Bildungsangeboten und Förderangeboten.


Ziel des Projekts ist die Errichtung eines Jugend- und Sozialzentrums mit beruflicher Ausbildung. Zielgruppe sind Junge Menschen ohne Ausbildung und Arbeit im Alter von 8 bis 21 Jahren aus der Region Gambela (insgesamt ca. 1.500 junge Menschen).


Geplante Maßnahmen:

# Bau der für die Ausbildung notwendigen Laboratorien (Chemie und Physik)

# Anschaffung von Ausrüstung Labor und Lehrmittel

(Werkstätten für technische Ausbildung in den Bereichen KFZ, Maschinentechnik, Schlosserei, Tischlerei werden von anderen europäischen NGOs errichtet.)


(Gesamtförderung der OEZA = Eur 50.000.-, davon 45.000.- bereits im Rahmen des Projekts 1791 (Subprojektsnummer 1791-1207/02) ausbezahlt.)

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
