Overall goal


Zentrales Anliegen des Vereins KASUMAMA ist es, Begegnung, Kommunikation und intensives Kennenlernen zwischen ÖsterreicherInnen und AfrikanerInnen zu ermöglichen und damit Impulse zu interkulturellem Austausch und Völkerverständigung zu schaffen.

Im Juli 2008 findet das 8. KASUMAMA Afrika Festival in der Waldviertler Gemeinde Moorbad Harbach statt. Das 5-tägige Festival umfasst ein vielfältiges Kunst-, Kultur-, Begegnungs- und Informationsprogramm: Kreativ-Workshops mit afrikanischen KünstlerInnen ("African Atelier": Recycle Kunst, Come and Listen, Afrika erleben), Diskussionsforen zu entwicklungs- und gesellschaftspolitischen Themen ("Open Stage") sowie vielfältige interkulturelle Begegnungs- und Ausstellungsorte (Afrikanisches Dorf, Bazar, Kulinarium, etc..). Darüber hinaus präsentiert das Festival Tanzperformances sowie afrikanisches Filmschaffen. Den Höhepunkt bilden jedes Jahr zwei große Konzertabende mit prominenten afrikanischen Bands aus Österreich und dem Ausland. Angesprochen wird eine breite Öffentlichkeit von kulturell und entwicklungspolitisch Interessierten, Kinder/Jugendliche und Familien, regionale Bevölkerung, tschechische NachbarInnen.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 7.000,- (9,04 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens, Laufzeit: 11 Monate) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
