Overall goal


Südwind setzt sich für eine nachhaltige globale Entwicklung, Menschenrechte und faire Arbeitsbedingungen weltweit ein. Durch schulische und außerschulische Bildungsarbeit, die Herausgabe des Südwind-Magazins und andere Publikationen thematisiert Südwind in Österreich globale Zusammenhänge und ihre Auswirkungen. Mit öffentlichkeitswirksamen Aktionen, Kampagnen- und Informationsarbeit engagiert sich Südwind für eine gerechtere Welt. Südwind setzt seine Programme und Projekte über ein Netz von Regionalstellen (OÖ, Stmk., Tirol, Vorarlberg und Wien) und (inter)nationalen Kooperationspartnern um.

Das Programm umfasst ausgewählte Maßnahmen in den Bereichen Globales Lernen/Bildung sowie Informations-/Medienarbeit. Zur Stärkung Globalen Lernens in Österreich werden folgende Aktivitäten qualitativ weiterentwickelt fortgeführt: strategische/strukturelle Vernetzung und Qualitätsentwicklung, Betrieb entwicklungs-politischer Infotheken an 4 Standorten (Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Dornbirn), Weiterbildungs-programme für LehrerInnen und KindergartenpädagogInnen sowie Ausstellungsprojekte zu entwicklungspolitischen Themen. Ein neuer Schwerpunkt in der non-formalen Bildung ist die außerschulische Jugendarbeit (Programmentwicklung, Umsetzung an 3 Jugendzentren). Darüber hinaus werden bewährte Maßnahmen der Informations- und Medienarbeit wie die Herausgabe des unabhängigen Südwind-Magazins (Auflage:6.000 Stk./10x jährlich) und die Betreuung der NGO-Internetplattform OneWorld.at fortgeführt. Services/Angebote rund um EZA/Entwicklungspolitik für JournalistInnen/ORF-RedakteurInnen bietet die Plattform Medien und Entwicklung. Eine stärkere Verankerung entwicklungspolitischer Themen in der regionalen Berichterstattung wird mit begleitender Medienarbeit der Südwind-Regionalstellen angestrebt.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 1.512.000,- (74,58% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 1.12.2012 – 31.12.2014 (2 Jahre)
