Overall goal



Das Projektziel ist die Eröffnung eines Heimes mit angeschlossenem Studienzentrum für Kinder in 30 vom Tsunami betroffenen Dörfern in den Distrikten Allepey und Ernakulam im südindischen Bundesstaat Kerala.


80 Kinder, die entweder Tsunamiwaisen sind oder aus devastierten Familienverhältnissen stammen, sollen einen Heimplatz erhalten, und mit 120 Kindern aus den nahegelegenen Dörfern das Studienzentrum besuchen. Dieses Studienzentrum will die Grundlagen für den Unterricht und längerfristige Lebensperspektiven bereitstellen.


Die Maßnahmen umfassen die Errichtung eines neuen Gebäudes für Heim und Studienzentrum, ihre Einrichtung und die Auswahl der Kinder, die aufgenommen werden (dies geschieht gemeinsam durch Frauengruppen aus den betroffenen Dörfern und LehrerInnen des Studienzentrums)
