Overall goal


Anlässlich des Europäischen Jahres für Entwicklung 2015 ist die Film-Veranstaltungsreihe ‚Ist Demokratie möglich‘ in 8 verschiedenen Städten österreichweit geplant.

Ziel ist die vertiefte Auseinandersetzung des Kinopublikums mit globalen Entwicklungsfragen, indem ausgehend von einer lokalen Perspektive (dargestellt im Film Jakarta Disorder/ Indonesien) auch die globale Dimension von Demokratie thematisiert wird.


Expected results


Erwartete Ergebnisse:

- 8 Veranstaltungen mit mindestens 300 TeilnehmerInnen.

- Anregung eines produktiven Diskurses im Kinoraum, der sich auch außerhalb (z.B. in den sozialen Medien und in der Presse) wiederspiegelt.

- Gutes Medienecho durch Organisation und Bewerbung im Zusammenhang mit der Frankfurter Buchmesse im Oktober 2015 (Indonesien ist Schwerpunkt-Land).


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind SchülerInnen ab 14 Jahren, MultiplikatorInnen und ein interessiertes Kinopublikum.

Die Veranstaltungen werden als vormittägliches Schulkino sowie als Abendveranstaltungen angeboten und finden in enger Kooperation mit lokalen Partnerorganisationen aus dem zivilgesellschaftlichen, akademischen und pädagogischen Bereich statt (darunter Welthaus und KPH Graz, regionale Sektionen von Südwind, Weltladen Innsbruck, die HochschülerInnenschaft der Universität Salzburg, die Universität Graz, Kunstuniversität und OK-Offenes Kulturhaus Linz). Veranstaltungsorte sind Wien, Linz, Eisenstadt, Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Dornbirn.


Activities


Die Maßnahmen umfassen Filmvorführungen des Dokumentarfilms ‚Jakarta Disorder‘ mit anschließender Diskussion mit dem Filmemacher Ascan Breuer zur Vermittlung der Themen Demokratisierung, Armut, Urbanisierung, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und gesellschaftliche Partizipation aus global-lokaler Perspektive.
