Overall goal


Das Grazer Büro für Frieden und Entwicklung besteht seit 1988 und ist eine von der Stadt Graz getragene, kommunale Einrichtung zur Förderung des Friedensgedankens und der konkreten Friedensarbeit . Ziel ist eine kontinuierliche und systematische Bildungs- und Projektarbeit in den Bereichen Frieden, Entwicklung, Toleranz, Versöhnung und Schutz der Menschenrechte.

Das Grazer Büro für Frieden und Entwicklung führt im Jahr 2006 im Rahmen der Reihe "Entwicklung aktuell" eine Veranstaltung zum Thema "Ökonomie der Entwicklungsländer, Internationales Finanzsystem und Verschuldung" durch. In Kooperation mit anderen Organisationen wird jährlich der "Tag der AfrikanerInnen" in Graz veranstaltet, mit dem Ziel, Eigeninitiativen und Kooperationen von in Graz lebenden AfrikanerInnen zu fördern, KommunalpolitikerInnen über die Lebensumstände afrikanischer MitbürgerInnen zu informieren und Möglichkeiten der interkulturellen Begegnungen zu schaffen. Das Grazer Büro für Frieden und Entwicklung kooperiert eng mit anderen entwicklungspolitischen Einrichtungen in Graz und der Steiermark, mit MigrantInnen und MigrantInnenorgasationen, der Stadt Graz sowie der Universität Graz.


Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind die Grazer bzw. die steirische Öffentlichkeit, Studierende, KommunalpolitikerInnen, JournalistInnen und entwicklungspolitische Interessierte.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von ¿ 6.800,00 in der Höhe von

¿ 3.900,00 (57,35 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
