Overall goal


Zum Programm der ländlichen Entwicklung für das westliche Hochland Guatemalas gehören sieben Komponenten bzw. Projekte. Das Programmkonzept wurde gemeinsam mit den lokalen Durchführungsorganisationen entwickelt. Zwei Projekte verfolgen einen integralen Ansatz zur Entwicklung von verschiedenen territorialen Prozessen; ein Projekt fördert die Etablierung und Konsolidierung einer Bauernbank; ein weiteres bezieht sich auf die Verarbeitung von landwirtschaftlichen Produkten; drei Projekte konzentrieren ihre Aktivitäten auf die Analyse und fachliche Beratung in den spezifischen Querschnittsthemen Gender, Umwelt und ländliche Mikrofinanzen. Die einzelnen Projektkomponenten und die lokalen Projektpartner sind:

1. Empowerment und integrale Entwicklung der Frau auf dem Land (CADISOGUA).

2. Integrale Unterstützung und kommunale Entwicklung von 24 ländlichen Siedlungen in der Gemeinde Cuilco, Huehuetenango (CEIBA).

3. Geschäftsaufnahme der Bauernbank BANCAMPESINO (Pastoral de la Tierra, Diozöse von San Marcos).

4. Positionierung von MABELI auf dem Binnenmarkt (Vereinigung CDRO).

5. Ausprägung und Stärkung von Synergien für die Gleichstellung der Geschlechter in den Organisationen der westlichen Region Guatemalas (Gender-Arbeitskreis).

6. Institutionelle Stärkung des Umwelt-Arbeitskreises, um Prozesse zu ermöglichen und zu beeinflussen, die zum nachhaltigen Schutz der Umwelt und der Bewirtschaftung der Naturreichtümer im westlichen Guatemala beitragen (Umwelt-Arbeitskreis).

7. Technische Unterstützung und Know-how-Transfer bei der Geschäftsaufnahme von BANCAMPESINO und CEIBA (CODINO).

Die durch die genannten Projektkomponenten unterstützten Entwicklungsprozesse sollen integral, dynamisch und partizipativ ablaufen, die Diversifizierung fördern und alternative Einkommensquellen erschließen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
