Overall goal


Das Projekt beinhaltet die Publikation eines Sammelbands mit rund 20 Beiträgen zum Thema psychosoziale Praxis auf verschiedenen Kontinenten.

Die Beiträge berichten über Arbeiten der AutorInnen mit Menschen aus verschiedenen Ländern/Regionen (von Nicaragua über Indien bis Südafrika) in den Bereichen Sozialpsychologie, Ethnopsychoanalyse, Psychotraumatologie und Soziale Arbeit. Neben Forschungsergebnissen steht vor allem auch die eigene Irritation bei der Forschungsarbeit und/oder Zusammenarbeit mit den Menschen aus einer fremden Kultur im Mittelpunkt. Missverständnisse und Projektionen in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit (EZA) - auch vor dem Hintergrund des Kolonialismus - werden thematisiert; Erfahrungsoffenheit und Selbstreflexion sollen mit dem Ziel eines besseren Verständnisses gefördert werden.

Die einzelnen Beiträge decken ein breites Themenspektrum ab. Anhand unterschiedlicher Beispiele aus fünf Kontinenten wird die Bedeutung psychosozialer Betrachtungsweisen für das Verständnis von Entwicklungsprozessen und -zusammenhängen sichtbar gemacht.

Zentrale Zielgruppen sind Studierende und WissenschafterInnen verschiedener Bereiche der EZA, sowie eine kulturell interessierte Öffentlichkeit.

Der von Klaus Ottomeyer, Barbara Preitler und Helmut Spitzer herausgegebene Sammelband erscheint im Verlag Drava in einer Auflage von 900 Stück.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 8.400,00 in der Höhe von

EUR 2.300,00 (27,38%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
