FIAN (Food First Informations- und Aktionsnetzwerk) ist eine internationale Menschenrechtsorganisationen für das Recht, sich zu ernähren. Mit seinen 20 Sektionen ist FIAN in 60 Staaten präsent und auch für internationale Organisationen ein anerkannter Partner in Fragen der Ernährungssicherung und Ernährungssouveränität. In Kooperation mit der Südwind Agentur hat FIAN 2004/2005 das Projekt MDGs DO IT! konzipiert, das 2006 fortgesetzt wird. Im Zentrum des Vorhabens stehen die Sensibilisierung einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit für die Millennium Development Goals (vorrangig Ziel 1 Armutsbekämpfung und Ziel 8 Globale Partnerschaften) sowie die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit den MDGs im politischen Spannungsfeld von gesellschaftlicher Mitverantwortung, Staatenpflichten und staatsbürgerlichem Handeln.

Eine Ausstellungsserie mit 8 Transparenten (Fakten zu ökonomischen und sozialen Verhältnissen) bildet den Mittelpunkt von Veranstaltungen im öffentlichen Raum und soll eine breite Zielgruppe auf das Thema aufmerksam machen. Die Ausstellungen werden von Maßnahmen der Öffentlichkeits- und Medienarbeit begleitet. Ein zweiter Schwerpunkt des Projekts liegt im politischen Lobbying v. a. auf Länderebene, wo die 2005 begonnenen politischen Dialoge fortgesetzt werden. Die Projektmaßnahmen werden 2006 vorwiegend in Vorarlberg, Oberösterreich, Tirol und der Steiermark durchgeführt.

Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind die breite Öffentlichkeit, politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen und Medien.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von ¿ 53.875,00 in der Höhe von

¿ 42.650,00 (79,16 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
