Overall goal


Im Mai 2003 wurden auf Initiative der damaligen Bundesministerin für auswärtige Angelegenheiten zehn Kinder und Jugendliche aus dem Irak nach Österreich gebracht, um ihnen eine medizinische Versorgung zu gewähren, die vor Ort nicht möglich gewesen wäre.


Bei einigen der damaligen Patienten, die wieder in den Irak zurückgekehrt sind, sind Nachbehandlungen notwendig, weshalb jeweils eine Reise nach Österreich für diese Patienten und ihre Begleitpersonen organisiert wird, im Rahmen des gegenständlichen Vertrages für die Brüder Rahim und Karim Al Shwele am Krankenhaus der Barmherzgen Brüder in Salzburg, und für Alil Al Temini am Landeskrankenhaus Klagenfurt.


Zudem wird die Caritas beauftragt, die bekannten Daten über alle im Mai 2003 behandelten Patienten soweit wie möglich zu ergänzen, um den zukünftigen Bedarf an Nachbehandlungen besser einschätzen zu können.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
