Short Description:
Overall goal
The Peer Review is supposed to enhance the methodological quality of the 'Evaluation and Evidence Synthesis of the Whole-of-Government Approach (WGA) in Austrian Development Policy'
Expected results
- Supporting evaluation management in developing a suitable methodology at the outset of the evaluation
- Contributing to the quality assurance of the evaluation
Target group / Beneficiaries
The target group of this peer review is a) ADA's Evaluation Unit (3 People) and the Evaluation Team who are conducting the evaluation(1-2 people)
Activities
The Methodological Peer Reviewer contributes with her/his methodological expertise to the quality of the evaluation by commenting in written form on the ToR of the evaluation, the suggested methodology, as well as the draft reports and Tools. He/she also participates in the workshops which are part of the review process. Furthermore she/he will discuss and provide a written input to ADC’s After Action Review exercise in which the lessons learned from the review process will be shared.
Context
Peer Review is an internationally established tool in development cooperation to ensure quality and enhance learning. Other bilateral development cooperation actors integrate elements of peer review
into their strategic and programmatic evaluations.
