Overall goal
The Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) is an international platform to foster donor-coordination, where all mayor donors are represented
Objectives of the DCED are:
- Promotion of enterprise development particularly for small enterprises, in developing countries.
- It provides a forum, in which member agencies can exchange information about their programs, and the lessons learned through those programs.
- Building on experience, the DCED publishes common guidelines for member agencies.
The Committee supports the implementation of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. It responds to the common needs of the donors to efficiently deliver the services to their parnters in governments, private sector and civil society.
In Meetings and working groups on selected issues donors get the possibility to network, to discuss innovative approaches and experiences and to benefit from the Commitees knowledge management.
The Austrian Development Agenca ist a member of the DCED and pays a yearly membership fee.
