Overall goal

Inhalt des Vertrages ist das Betriebsmonitoring von weiterentwickelten, energie(Holz)sparenden Lehmöfen in Phobjikha (Region). Durch das Monitoring soll die Effizienz der neuen Öfen gegenüber den derzeit gebräuchlichen Öfen unter den Bedingungen der täglichen Nutzung festgestellt werden, um so die Akzeptanz und Wirtschaftlichkeit der neuen Lehmöfen für eine weitere Verbreitung zu bestimmen.

Da bei Nutzung der derzeitig gebräuchlichen Lehmöfen der Brenn/Holzverbrauch enorm hoch (15.516,83 ton. fuer alle Haushalte der Region = 4.716 Personen), sollte mit der Installation von verbesserten, holzsparenden Lehmöfen den daraus resultierenden Waldschäden gerade Einhalt geboten werden. Zudem sollen die verbesserten Öfen die Luftqualität in den Räumlichkeiten verbessern und die Frauen bei der Holzbeschaffung entlasten. Ab September sollen in Phobjikha von österr. Experten speziell die Region entwickelte Lehmöfen installiert, die Frauen mittels eines Workshops eingewiesen und in der Folge von RSPN zwei Jahre lang beobachtet und auch qualititiv überprüft werden, um somit eine effizientere Nutzung von Brennmaterial zu erreichen.
