Multisectoral support to IDPs and Host Population in Lugansk Region, Ukraine

Short Description:

Overall goal


5 Mio people in the Ukraine are in need for humanitarian. The government’s humanitarian response is limited due to budgetary constraints and access problems.


The project supports internally displaced people and host population (incl returnees) in better coping with the challenging living conditions in the return/post-conflict areas of Lugansk region.


The project is supporting 500 vulnerable war affected families for 4 months through the provision of food (mix of vouchers and parcels) and baby/children hygiene kits in Ukraine controlled and non-Ukraine controlled areas. One off shelter support for houses damaged by shelling and small arms will be provided through electronic cash cards to 200 families in the city of Lysychansk.


The total number of beneficiaries and the intervention areas are as follows:

1. Food support for 500 households (400 IDPs & 100 host population households) for 4 months – all together 6.000 beneficiaries in Raions of Popasna, Lysychansk, Pervomajsk, Novoaidar. Every family receives one standard food parcels or one supermarket voucher per month each EUR 25.

2. Shelter assistance for 200 host population households through one off electronic cash vouchers each EUR 360 – all together 600 beneficiaries in Lysychansk city

3. Hygiene support for 500 babies & children per month for 4 months – all together 2.000 beneficiaries in and around Lugansk city. Orphanages and Kindergartens receive 500 standard hygiene parcels per months.
