Schwerpunkt dieses Projektes ist die Entwicklung einer landwirtschaftlichen Kooperative im Township Phake Thabeng, sowie die Unterstützung von zwei Schulen: Die Phake Thabeng Grundschule und die Mapala Combined School. Ziel des Vorhabens ist es, diese Kooperative und die Schulen mittels Schulungen in Permakultur für den Gemüseanbau und der Einrichtung nachhaltiger Permakultursysteme in der Region zu unterstützen. Zu diesem Zweck wird die Basisorganisation Phake Thabeng Cooperative gegründet und bei der Erarbeitung ihrer Organisationsentwicklung unterstützt. Die Produkte dieser landwirtschaftlichen Kooperative werden in den Townships verkauft und werden die bisher unzureichende Ernährungssicherheit in den umliegenden Haushalten verbessern. In einem Zeitraum von drei Jahren werden mehr als 200 Erwachsene und Kinder eine Schulung in den Grundsätzen der Permakultur erhalten. Allerdings muss dieses Projekt als erste Phase eines Vorhabens gesehen werden, das mindestens sechs Jahre dauern wird und ein Netzwerk für das Betreiben einer nachhaltigen Permakultur in der Township Nkangala herbeiführen soll.
