Overall goal


Tuberkulose (TBC) als typische Armutskrankheit attackiert vor allem Menschen, die unter Mangelernährung und schlechten sanitären Verhältnissen zu leiden haben. Die selben Bedingungen finden PatientInnen, insbesondere Kinder auch nach der Entlassung aus dem Krankenhaus wieder vor, umso mehr wenn in Betracht gezogen wird, dass viele Familien in Moldau durch Arbeitsmigration zerrissen sind und Kinder bei ihren Großeltern, die wiederum auf minimale staatlicheTransferleistungen angewiesen sind, aufwachsen.

Das vorliegende Projekt ist die Fortführung zu Projekt 8081-00/2004 (Sanierung und Ausstattung der Notfallräume des TBC Spitals Chisinau) und hat folgende Projektziele:

a) die TBC Klinik in Chisinau durch Up-grading von Ausrüstung und Personal in die Lage zu versetzen, adäquate und erfolgreiche Behandlungen vorwiegend für Kinder und deren betroffene Familien durchzuführen

b) Erkrankte Kinder und deren Familien nach Entlassung aus dem Krankenhaus durch verbesserte Versorgung weiter zu betreuen und geeignete Maßnahmen gegen Reinfektionen zu ergreifen

c) Die Bevölkerung der Republik Moldau durch eine Bildungskampagne, getragen von Home Care Mitarbeiterinnen der Caritas Moldau und dem Krankenhauspersonal über TBC-Bekämpfungsmaßnahmen zu informieren

Zielgruppe der Projektinterventionen sind in erster Linie PatientInnen der TBC Klinik Chisinau, insbesondere Kinder und deren Familien. Die TBC Klinik Chisinau hat als Einzugsgebiet die ganze Republik Moldau, da sie die einzige Klinik die Betreuung von TBc- kranken Kindern anbieten kann. Um eine nachhaltige Verbesserung der Gesundheitssituation der Kinder zu gewährleisten, muss auch für Familienangehörige die Möglichkeit einer entsprechenden Betreuung und Nachsorge geboten werden, diese Umfeldbetreuung wird im Rahmen dieses Projektes ebenfalls sichergestellt.
