Short Description:

Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist, durch Filme aus Herkunftsländern und aus Österreich und durch persönliche Begegnung Barrieren und Vorurteile abzubauen und Kenntnisse über verschiedene Gesellschaften zu verbessern. Das Projekt arbeitet an der Schnittstelle Integration und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Im Fokus stehen kostengünstige, niederschwellige und barrierefreie Vorführungen ausgewählter entwicklungs- und frauenpolitischer Filme aus Syrien, Libanon, Afghanistan und Österreich, die von RegisseurInnen/ExpertInnen und ÜbersetzerInnen begleitet werden.


Expected results


10 Vorführungen zu jeweils rund 30-40 TeilnehmerInnen an diversen Standorten mit anschließenden Diskussionsrunden mit RegisseurInnen/ExpertInnen und ÜbersetzerInnen. In etwa 500 Personen werden direkt erreicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind ÖsterreicherInnen aller Alters- und Berufsgruppen und in Österreich lebende Flüchtlinge/AsylwerberInnen. Der gemeinsame Aspekt der Begegnung und des Austausches steht dabei im Vordergrund. Der Fokus der Projektaktivitäten ist Wien, dazu sind Veranstaltungen in Niederösterreich und Oberösterreich geplant.


Activities


Internationale Spiel- und Dokumentarfilme behandeln gesellschaftsrelevante Themen in Bezug auf Geschlecht, Religionsfreiheit, Toleranz und Empowerment und werden im Anschluss an die Vorführungen diskutiert. Diese Gespräche bieten Raum zur Reflexion globaler Zusammenhänge und Geschlechterrollen in verschiedenen Kulturen und tragen zur Verständigung bei. Sie finden in Begleitung von ExpertInnen/RegisseurInnen und ÜbersetzerInnen (Farsi, Paschtu, Arabisch und Deutsch) statt und fördern den interkulturellen Dialog sowie die vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit den behandelten Themen. Auch potenziell negativ besetzte Begriffe wie Ehre, Homosexualität/Homophobie, Rassismus und Frauengesundheit werden angesprochen.


Context


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 16.700,00 mit Euro 11.000,00 (65,87%) gefördert.
