Overall goal


Die ÖFSE bietet Information, Dokumentation und Beratung zu entwicklungspolitisch relevanten Themen.

Einen Kernbereich bildet die gemeinsam mit BAOBAB und Frauensolidarität betriebene ,C3-Bibliothek für Entwicklungspolitik‘ mit einem Bestand von rund 70.000 Bänden und 120 laufend geführten Zeitschriften. Bibliotheksstandort ist das entwicklungspolitische Bildungs-, Informations- und Veranstaltungszentrum ,C3 - Centrum für Internationale Entwicklung‘ in 1090 Wien, das einen zentralen Ort des Wissens zur Entwicklungspolitik, der entwicklungspolitischen Kommunikation und Begegnung in Wien bzw. Österreich bietet.

Daneben bietet die ÖFSE im Arbeitsbereich Information und Dokumentation umfassende Informationsdienstleistungen in Form von Websites, Datenbanken und Online-Publikationen.

Ziele im Bibliotheksbereich sind die Etablierung der Bibliothek durch verstärkte Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Ansprechen neuer NutzerInnengruppen, Weiterentwicklung der Angebote und Bestandserweiterung v.a. um elektronische Ressourcen.

In der Informations- und Dokumentationsarbeit sind Umsetzung des neuen Corporate Designs und des neuen Webseitenkonzepts, Neudarstellung der Datenbankservices und neue Länderinformationen zur Schwerpunktregion Schwarzmeer/ Südkaukasus vorgesehen.

Die ÖFSE führt das Veranstaltungszentrum im ,C3 - Centrum für Internationale Entwicklung‘, mit mehr als 350 internen und externen Veranstaltungen pro Jahr.

Dem ADA-Schwerpunkt ‚Wirtschaft als Partner‘ wird im Rahmen der Literaturempfehlung ‚Thema im Blick‘ sowie der Veranstaltungsreihe ‚Bildung im C3ntrum‘ Rechnung getragen.

Zielgruppen sind die entwicklungspolitisch interessierte Öffentlichkeit, EZA-AkteurInnen in öffentlichen und privaten Einrichtungen sowie der universitäre Bereich.


Das Programm wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 1.320.000,- mit Euro 1.188.000,- (90,00%) für 2 Jahre gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
