Short Description:

Overall goal


One World Filmclubs ist ein österreichweites partizipatives Projekt für Jugendliche zwischen 14 und 19 Jahren, die sich mittels Dokumentarfilmen mit Fragen der globalisierten Welt auseinandersetzen möchten. Ziel der One World Filmclubs ist eine intensive Auseinandersetzung von Jugendlichen im Rahmen selbst organisierter lokaler One World Filmclubs mit Grundfragen weltweiter Entwicklung, globalen Zusammenhängen, Menschenrechten, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, Konsum, Umwelt, Migration, der globalen Vernetzung Österreichs und individuellen Handlungsmöglichkeiten. Das Projekt fördert die kritische Reflexion der Jugendlichen und ermutigt sie, sich zu engagieren.


Expected results


Von Jänner bis Dezember 2017 finden österreichweit rund 70 von ca. 30 lokalen One World Filmclubs organisierte Filmvorführungen mit einem Begleitprogramm, z.B. einer Diskussion nach dem Film, statt. Insgesamt rund 2.000 Jugendliche nehmen an den Filmclub-Vorführungen teil.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Das Projekt richtet sich an Jugendliche im Alter von 14-19 Jahren in ganz Österreich; in erster Linie SchülerInnen, aber auch BesucherInnen von Institutionen der außerschulischen Jugendarbeit (Jugendzentren, Mobile Jugendarbeit, Mädchencafés, etc.). Auch bildungsfernere Jugendliche sowie Jugendliche in Regionen ohne regelmäßige Kultur- und Bildungsangebote werden angesprochen.


Activities


Jugendliche gründen und organisieren einen lokalen One World Filmclub in ihrer unmittelbaren Umgebung (Schulen, Jugendzentren, Pfarren,..). Sie präsentieren ihren MitschülerInnen und FreundInnen ehrenamtlich, eigenverantwortlich und selbstorganisiert in regelmäßigen Abständen Dokumentarfilme mit menschenrechtlichen und entwicklungspolitischen Themen, anschließend findet ein Begleitprogramm statt. Das Angebot ist für die Jugendlichen kostenlos.

Unterstützt und begleitet werden sie dabei vom Projektteam der One World Filmclubs, fallweise von MentorInnen vor Ort (Lehrende, MitarbeiterInnen der außerschulischen Jugendarbeit).

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 79.075 mit Euro 10.200 (12,90%) gefördert.
