Overall goal


Das Ziel des Projekts ist eine Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen von Menschen, die aufgrund der Tschernobyl-Katastrophe an unheilbaren Krankheiten leiden und deren Familien. Diese Verbesserung wird durch mobile Heimpflege in der Republik Belarus (mit Fokus auf den Bezirken Chechersk und Slavgorod) erreicht. Diese mobile Heimpflege ist ein erweiterter Servi-ce des Kinderhospizes von Belarus und erfolgt in Kooperation mit lokalen medizinischen Institu-ten. Weiters beinhaltet dieser Service Personaltraining, Know-How Transfer und den Aufbau eines lokalen und nationalen Netzwerks von medizinischen Instituten.

Ein wichtiger Teil des Projekts wird eine Kampagne gegen Vorurteile gegenüber radioaktiven Erkrankungen in Schulen und der Aufbau von Selbsthilfegruppen für Eltern sein. Diese Maßnahmen dienen der Stärkung der Zivilgesellschaft und erweitern die Fähigkeit zur selbstständi-gen Problemlösung. In weiterer Folge wird dadurch dazu beigetragen, den negativen Konse-

quenzen von langanhaltender radioaktiver Kontaminierung für die gesundheitliche und soziale Entwicklung der lokalen Bevölkerung entgegenzuwirken, was den Prioritäten des CORE Programms entspricht.
