Overall goal


Schüler und Mönche der einzigen Schule Bhutans mit zusätzlicher Astrologieausbildung leben in einem im 16. Jhdt. erbauten Tempel, der als eine der heiligsten Stätten des Thimphutales gilt. Die derzeit 80 Schüler wohnen in äußerst primitiven, beengten, hygienisch desolaten, brandgefährlichen Verhältnissen.Es soll ein Wohnheim mit entsprechenden sanitären Einrichtungen für diese Kinder gebaut werden. Zusätzlich sollen Schüler und Lehrer in Hygiene und Gesundheitsvorsorge geschult werden. Die Lehrer sollen ein Training in Kinderrechten absolvieren, um Ausbeutung und sexuellen Missbrauch hintan zu halten. In dieser Schule werden Kinder aus armen Familien aufgenommen, die sonst keinen Zugang zu einer Schulbildung erhalten. Der Lehrplan der Schule wird so gestaltet, dass Kinder, die das Kloster verlassen, eine Lebensgrundlage haben. Da die Astrologie, die seit Jahrhunderten eine der wertvollsten kulturellen Erbgüter Bhutans ist, eine wichtige Rolle im Leben eines jeden Bhutaners spielt, und von der Geburt bis zum Tod angewandt wird, werden die Absolventen dieser Schule in jeden Winkel des Landes gesandt und können ihr Wissen über Hygiene, Gesundheit und Kinderrechte im Land verbreiten.


Aktivitäten

- Errichtung des Baues durch bhutanische Firmen, beauftragt vom Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs

- Überwachung des Baufortschrittes durch Mitglieder der Freunde Bhutans

- Training der Mönche in Hygiene und Instandhaltung des Neubaues soll durch Mitglieder des Ambassador Clubs Thimphu und Mitglieder der Gesellschaft der Freunde Bhutans erfolgen. Die Mitglieder des Ambassadorclubs Thimphu sind bereit, einen Teil ihrer Arbeit unentgeltlich zu leisten.

- Abhalten von Workshops zur Bewusstmachung von Hygiene, Gesundheit, Kinderschutz, Kinderausbeutung und sexuellem Missbrauch gemäß CRC

- Bereitstellung von Lehrmitteln und Fachliteratur, speziell in Englisch, Mathematik,und EDV durch die Gesellschaft der Freunde Bhutans.
