Short Description:

Overall goal

The project aims to support the local NGO Al-Karama, which is located in the Deheishe refugee camp.

The project objective is twofold:

Improving the educational situation in Deheishe. This objective will be achieved by the following activities:

- Providing additional classes and special care for 100 - 200 students from grade 5

to 12, thus improving their school results and increasing the number of students

that succeed in the final exams (Taujihi).

- Establishing an information and computer centre, which is in general open for all

children and inhabitants of the camp.

The other general objective of our project is to fight poverty in Deheishe Camp.

This goal will be achieved through these specific activities:

- Providing 4 teachers with job opportunities, improving thereby their own and

their whole families' economical situation.

- Educating 100 - 200 adolescents, thereby giving them better prospects of finding

a job once they have graduated from school.
