Overall goal


Der gegenständliche Projektvorschlag zielt darauf ab, bäuerliche Familien aus den 10 Gemeinden des Bezirks Chontales, Nicaragua, darin zu unterstützen, ihre landwirtschaftliche Produktion zu erhöhen und den Marktzugang zu erleichtern, um ihr Haushaltseinkommen zu erhöhen.

Die nicaraguanische Regierung und die Europäische Union definieren übereinstimmend als wichtigste Probleme der Region: Niedrige Effizienz der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion und Viehzucht, bedingt durch fehlende gesetzliche und politische Initiativen zur Förderung der ländlichen Entwicklung, Umweltzerstörung, fehlende Investitionen in Humankapital, fehlende Schutzmechanismen für sozial schwache Bevölkerungsgruppen, steigende HIV-Infektionsraten, und Ungerechtigkeit zwischen den Geschlechtern. Zielgruppe sind 785 bäuerliche Familien, die in der UNAG organisiert und durch 595 Männer und 190 Frauen repräsentiert sind.

Das Projektziel besteht darin, die Fähigkeiten der Familien zur Erhöhung ihres Haushaltseinkommens sozial, wirtschaftlich und ökologisch nachhaltig zu erhöhen.

Geplante Aktivitäten:

- Unterstützung nachhaltiger sozialer, ökologischer und ökonomischer Entwicklungsprozesse (Methode de campesino a campesino)

- Unterstützung ökonomischer Initiativen: Aufbau und Konsolidierung ländlicher Firmen, die Wertschöpfungsprozesse auf den Bauernhöfen anregen.

- Das Netz der Promotoren und Promotorinnen stärken und zu erweitern, damit diese einen Wechsel in der Produktionskultur fördern und die horizontale Weitergabe von Fachwissen vorantreiben.

- Fortbildungsmöglichkeiten schaffen, um über Themen wie Gender, sexuelle und reproduktive Gesundheit und HIV/Aids aufzuklären und zu informieren.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
