Overall goal


Bei diesem Programm handelt es sich um eine Fortsetzung von Projekt 1731-00/2004, das die Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen der v.a. kleinbäuerlich geprägten Bevölkerung in der Gemeinde El Castillo im Süden Nicaraguas zum Ziel hat.

Das Programm besteht aus mehreren Komponenten und flankierenden Begleitmaßnahmen. Die Ansätze für diese Phase wurden auf Basis der erreichten Ergebnisse der ersten Phase gemeinsam mit den Projektpartnern und Zielgruppen vor Ort entwickelt.


Das Programm wird sich während dieser Verlängerungssphase auf folgende Arbeitsfelder konzentrieren:


- Ausweitung der Forstwirtschaft

- Verbesserungen der Bewirtschaftungsmethoden

- Mikrokredite zur Bereitstellung von Kapital für die bäuerliche Zielgruppe

- Förderung von Frauen im unternehmerischen und gesellschaftlichen Bereich

- Förderung von Jugendliche durch Stipendien zur Erlangung einer Schul- bzw. Berufsbildung


Die lokalen Partnerorganisationen sind die Gemeindeverwaltung von El Castillo, die Organisation IPADE, die nicaraguanische Forstbehörde INAFOR sowie die Oficina de la Mujer de la Alcaldía de El Castillo-Boca de Sabalos.


Die Implementierung des Programms wird durch eine spezialisierte Organisation unterstützt, die fachliche Beratung durch Experteneinsätze, die Koordination der einzelnen Programmkomponenten, das Programmmanagement, Berichtswesen, Monitoring sowie die Budgetkontrolle gewährleistet.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
