Overall goal


Das Rahmenprogramm der EWA hat die Stärkung der Selbsthilfekapazitäten der lokalen Partner im technischen, organisatorischen und finanziellen Bereich in zwei afrikanischen Schwerpunktländern der OEZA zum Inhalt. Das Programmziel ist es, durch geeigneten Kompetenztransfer ausgewählte und getestete Organisationen und Institutionen in Senegal und Äthiopien zu befähigen, im Bereich der ländlichen Entwicklung (Landwirtschaft und Handwerk) Eigenständigkeit zu erlangen.


In Senegal waren die Erfahrungen der EWA im Bereich der ländlichen Entwicklung die Grundlage für die Konzentration auf den Subsektor "Handwerk". Folgende Einzelprojekte sind Teile des Rahmenprogramms:

1) Handwerwerkerförderung in der Region Diourbel

2) Institutionelle Stärkung des Spar- und Kreditkassenhauptverbandes (UMECAS) der HandwerkerInnen Senegals,

3) Polyvalentes Ausbildungszentrum für BetreibsberaterInenn von Kleinst- und Kleinbetrieben.


In Äthopien konzentrieren sich die Einzelprojekte des Rahmenprogramms auf die Sektoren "Food Security" und "Gender und Democracy". Folgende Einzelprojekte werden durchgeführt:

1) Getreidebankprojekt Dugda Bora zur Erhöhung der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion und Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen;

2) Frauenförderung in Addis Abeba ist auf die Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Unabhängigkeit der Frauen hin ausgerichtet.

    • EU - Funds of the European Commission
    • Others - various other donors are listed in ADA’s annual business report.
  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
