Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, das Bildungssystem der Republik Moldau an die konkreten Bedürfnisse des Arbeitsmarktes weiter anzupassen. Dies erfolgt insbesondere durch die Erhöhung der Qualität der Berufsorientierung und Berufsberatung an Schulen (Sekundarstufe) und an außerschulischen Einrichtungen (z.B. Arbeitsmarktservice). Die direkte Zielgruppe umfasst rund 115 LehrerInnen und Bedienstete an Schulen, öffentlichen Institutionen wie Bildungs- und Arbeitsministerium sowie des Nationalen Arbeitsmarktservice. Darüber hinaus profitieren rund 1.200 SchülerInnen von allgemeinbildenden höheren und berufsbildenden Schulen unmittelbar und über 250.000 nach Projektimplementierung.

Basierend auf einer Bedarfserhebung, Kontextanalyse und Good-Practice-Beispielen wird die Qualität der Berufsberatung durch neu entwickelte oder modernisierte Curricula erhöht. An 12 Pilotschulen (jeweils drei allgemein bildende sowie eine berufsbildende Schule im nördlichen, Zentral- und im südlichen Moldau) werden diese umgesetzt und nach einer Testphase landesweit eingesetzt. Zur Verbesserung der außerschulischen Berufsorientierung werden institutionelle Kapazitäten in Kooperation mit den zuständigen Ministerien und dem Nationalen Arbeitsmarktservice gestärkt, drei Berufsorientierungszentren errichtet, Trainingsprogramme und -materialien entwickelt sowie Personal geschult.
